I have a question and I'm curious about the answers. Since I'm going to present it in many places, if you meet it more than once, please forgive me. Answer once unless you come up with some more ideas you would like to share. So...
If storytelling is the answer or the remedy, what is the question or the problem?
Storytelling, by its very nature, encompasses relationships. They could be synonyms. Dividing out relationships from storytelling is like trying to take out the butter when the cookies are already baked.
If storytelling and relationships are part of the recipe, then the one who bakes the cookie, the one who eats the cookie, and the One who provided the ingredients in the first place are most important.
The question: What reminds us of who we are and who we could become to find joy?
Even stories that end unhappily remind us how to have joy as long as we do the opposite!
To shorten my answer - Storytelling is the key to building human culture and world that is empathic and open to the needs of others both in the human and natural world.
fractured language, slang and the now ever present texting shortcuts, abbreviations, media blitz, they rob us of the richness of the language. Language tells our story and with it we enrich lives. Every life has a story to tell, it should be rich and full of all the color and emotion it was lived with not shortened to U R spec.
