Share a Story - Change the World

Some of you may know playwright and performer Slash Coleman, perhaps from the Fringe circuit, from his workshop at Sharing the Fire, from oral history conferences.

He's put together some really helpful tips on making a Fringe a success... and even reviewed or had his friends review various Fringes from the perspective of a performer (not reviewing shows, but reviewing the experience).

He hasn't updated it in a while, but the content is still helpful.

Fabulous blog, Tim. I just decided Fringing will be part of my marketing for my cookbook. I am really looking forward to it.

I got a real shot in the arm last week when I went to see a show called Basic Training. The writer/performer was sleeping in his car and working two jobs. He put his money into a Fringe show, and was seen by the movie producer of Akeelah and the Bee. Kahlil Ashanti is now touring the world, and has both a movie and TV series in the works.

What a storyteller! What an inspiration!
