As a big fan of the Fringe programs from their beginning, I will be very interested in the latest dialog about them and the twists and turns of the Fringe Storytellers. Jonatha

I am the new kid (70 +), on the block. I hope that you will not be offended if the old man, speaks out. I have a coffee cup(Rivka),that says,"Antique" person, Been there, done that, can't remember.( I find this comment box difficult, because it does not have spell check). Well, where was I? Tell at every oprotunity you have. I am often ask, where is the audience? folks, it everywhere. Tell, tell, tell.

Fringe, I used to be sensitive, the size of the group, i.e., (Jonesboro). Don't be, its not political, its just big, those folk's have a bear by the tale. Literally, it so big they can't handle the whole thing. Excell in what we are doing, and truly find genius tellers, and fellers and female tellers, who can tell up a storm, and they will come. The quality of the teller's is the answer. Look high and low and get the best, erase fringe from you mind, and get after it. I am a really fine teller, and I know of where I speak. Quality. not quanity. There are many tellers who will never make the big stase in Tennessee, don't fret, just go forth and tell. Exposure is so important. Get yourself some money, If your a guild, and get timely advertisment.......oel castner

I am performing a fringe piece later this afternoon at Godfrey Daniels in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania at 3 p.m. this afternoon. This will be my second Fringe show--the first being the Fringe at the Northlands Storytelling Conference in Madison, Wisconsin in 2007. I love Fringe concerts because they consist of material which sometimes can go beyond the pale with regards to subject matter, labguage and content. I just hope I get a good audience today. But no matter how many people are there, I will always give my best. And this work is one I especially wrote for this Fringe, so I KNOW it's going to go well!!!
