Did my 5 today. Put a blog up here, updated my website, updated all my calendars, uploaded new storytelling photos, booked a new show, practiced a couple of my songs, emailed some old clients a photo from my last show and reminded them I am booking dates, washed and put my costume away, did some reading. I was on a roll today guess I got a couple days worth of 5's done!

Hi Everyone!

Since I work every day on the business of storytelling, I seldom make a list of the things I actually accomplish. As a rule, my "to do" list is full of steps I need to take in order to reach some goal. I think it's a good idea to review recent accomplishments, and share plans, so here goes:
(1) I finally produced a CD of scary stories in time for Halloween this year (been talking about this for a couple years).
(2) Held a CD launching party at a local bookstore the week before Halloween - great fun and quite successful.
(3) Produced a historic story CD from interviews I did several years ago. The stories are about Dusty Vail and what her life was like growing up on the Empire Ranch near Sonoita, AZ in the early 1900's. The ranch is currently managed by the BLM in conjunction with a non-profit foundation. The CD was completed in time for the annual November celebration on the ranch this year.
(4) I have begun upgrading my website with plans to include blog and/or possibly a newsletter.
(5) I have completed plans and published a flyer for my 2009 "Be Creative @ Your Library" program.

My best to all for the holiday season,
Glenda

Hello Everyone;

Please check your freindship request and either accept them or reject them. But please don't let them sit idle. If one hundred people do that, if keeps others from making new friends. Just go to your friends tabs, the little silloettes at the top right of your page, under your name and click it. I expect if you haven't found it by now... you may have many pending new friends.

Just a tip.

Glad you are feeling better. Whatever you do take care of yourself. You are your best friend so take time to rest so you will heal faster. Thanks for all you do!!! I will continue to pick your brain about my project in Southern Indiana............targeted for late 2009 or 2010.

Thanks for that feedback. I will look into it I don't want to frustrate anyone... especially a potential customer.

Thanks for the heads up

Buck,
Leave it to me to testdrive something like this. I logged in & viewed a few items, then was interrupted. When I tried to start with the next item, I was asked to login again. No matter what I did it wouldn't accept me. (Tried the anonymous option when the 1 you described kept getting rejected.) Just now I went back & it worked for a few views & then started asking me to login with the same problems. I think you can only open about 5 items & then this starts up.

No, this wasn't on a Mac.

What I saw looked attractive, but I can't imagine a client not getting frustrated after getting shut out.

Hello Take Five

One page marketing promo sheets, I have some... putting up some more...

Look at these pictures and bio kits I have put on my ftp site. If you want to see them

go to my website www.buckpcreacy.com (don't forget the "p")

scroll down looking in the left margin for "Media Link" click it and you will be asked for a username (aslancustomer) and a password (Buck2008)

You should be able to see every picture, poster, document on my FTP site, without any hassle at all. Check it out.

If you cannot see the page, click on the "page" button and select "open ftp site in Windows Explorer"

I have no idea what you might have to do if you own a MAC.

I am feeling much better thank all of you who have been writing and sending up prayers. I am grateful for your friendships and love.

Just a quick not to say that I am still doing five things... three of them are resting... one is reading Italian Folktales and the last is getting ready for the NSN Conference and my Showcase on Friday Morning... I hope you all will come hear these Kentuckians tell.

Yesterday I:
printed and prepared 25 copies of my last book of poems; prepared 25 CDs for sale; mailed two books to fill orders; verified that all my handouts for this weekend's workshop were printed and ready; printed 25 copies of "So You Want to Be a Storyteller" brochure; worked on final details of contracts for storytellers for the WV Book Festival; worked on final details of my workshop; began packing materials vor the workshop; emailed a teller who is coming from Ohio to the workshop to set up a lunch date; agreed to brainstorm plans for an Oral Traditions tent for the WV State Arts and Craft Fair; posted to my blog; read feeds; opened a lovely surprise package of a blue bottle from a storytelling friend in Nova Scotia; received my check for upcoming workshop (ahead of time--how cool is that!); added a post to the new group I started on PS. Add working a 9-hour day at the library and a 2-hour commute and it becomes a very
l-o-n-g day.
