It's been a year & a half since you joined and were working on that workshop for new mothers. Hope it went well. I thought of you and the workshop today when I saw you birthday listed. May it be exactly as you wish it and the coming year the best so far.
I finally posted the blog responding to your various questions, Ahmed! It's at Storytelling + Research = LoiS & feel free to use it in your workshop with the various mothers learning about the role of storytelling in literacy. Hope the classes have been going well. Feel free to post here about what worked & any rough spots. Each group is different, but we can rejoice here with what goes well & try to help when needed.
It was a wonderful experience to talk with you just yesterday!!! I'm delighted to see you join us today & trust you will find this network helpful. At the beginning of this year we had our 1st Egyptian member, Mai_a_Salah, join here. I hope you both can support each other in your quest to bring storytelling to the children of Egypt. She's in Cairo while you're in Alexandria, but this international network proves regularly that there is a storytelling family around the world ready to help each other.
I hope the ideas I emailed you help & that the various groups & blogs & forum discussions here help you find even more help & ideas in your storytelling journey & that of your mothers & their children. Think of how this is spreading the love of story & culture through your land, the world, & the future! We can't begin to predict the way it will make a difference, only knowing that it is a wonderful thing we are doing.
