Winter Solstice Story Recommendations

I'm interested in your recommendations for winter solstice-y stories --they don't have to be about the solstice specifically, but rather, unique stories for the winter solstice time of year.  stories on gratitude, giving, nothing explicitly xmasy..Interested in stories for children to tell at winter bazaarbut also stories for adults that might have more of a mature theme.Thank you!rootsandwings@live.comSee More

Professional Storyteller is a network for people who work in the field of oral storytelling. Please write a brief paragraph about your work.
I am passionate about stories & soups. I like to make them both from scratch to nourish the belly and the hearth. Actually, I think the story grows from my hearth because of the good soups I eat. Either way, I am a story, you are a story, we are a story. Good stories & soups go a long way on a cold, cold day.
