Baba, thanks for your kind words. Well, I guess getting ready for Mali is excuse enough. Or more than enough. Have a great trip and blog about it - I would read every word!

Hi Baba, good to see you and your work and travels here. What beautiful pictures! I can't wait to go to West Africa too. Actually there are so many places I want to visit, learn from, and so on. You inspire me. Hope to see you in Ohio in November!

Dear Baba,
That's the most encouraging thing anyone has said to me for a while. Thank you.

Hello Baba,
Love your photos. Nice quality to your recordings. I'm looking forward to getting to know more about you.
Thanks for the invitation as a friend. The Kora looks like such an amazing instrument for stories as well as music. I would imagine it to be much like the Celtic Harp my wife plays.
Take care,
Dave Sharp

Hey friend! thank you for inviting me into your world. I'm on the road at the moment, so I have only this little widget of time to respond. Later, I'll wander through your site.... when the dust settles. Peace, Sara (Ransom)
Hello baba: I've been out of touch with the PS site for a while so am pleased and honored to be asked to join your circle of friends. Your site is great, both the content and the ease with which I could navigate....reminds me I need to update mine.
I'm currently working on a book and giving a 'motivational' talk for entrepreneurs about my main (money making) business for the last 20 years, called "Selling the Scream'. As a performance artist, I use live original music, stories, characters and visuals to further dramatize my message, whatever the topic happens to be. As a percussionist, you know that I have a wide selection of instruments and musics I can choose from to accent my talk...in fact, the music is the most fun part for me; and makes the professional speaking thing possible. I also do solo concerts, weaving together original stories based on my travels with music from all over the world, as well as music and instruments of my own invention...anything to keep my brain and spirit active to stave off dementia...that, plus I do sudoku for the left side of my brain. I'll check your calendar from time to time to see if you are appearing in the St. Louis area, or some other place I may be traveling to. Until then, vaya con Dios....Robert
