Thanks Aidan, School has begun and the only writing I am doing now is paperwork to fulfill state regulations, and meetings, and gobs of lists for schedules. Wednesday I am off to NSN conference!! Yippee!! Will I see you there?
Hi Betsy, like your script. Well, I am slow on this Ning stuff. Guess I have been preoccupied with the book.
Yes, please do make a comment or two for the book. Do you have a plan? For example, have you seen some of the youth tandem teams that you could comment on/review? Do you have a personal experience with tandems? So .... 500 to 1000 words? If you have some short quotable quotes in mind, of any length... go for it? I will check this quicker, or send me an email. Jonatha
Just checking to find out what kind of luck you've had rounding up some of those 'little known' biblical stories.
Just a reminder - remember that some of those stories that "everyone knows," while perhaps true among a majority of regular, biblical tellers, is almost certainly NOT true for 'most folks.' Believers from around the world are now being sent as missionaries to the U.S.! That's us: a "Christian" country w/ millions of non-believers, who need to hear the gospel....
OK, end of sermon. Just wanted you to consider that you might have more stories in your arsenal than you first thought.
Betsy, welcome to our Group/Biblical Storytelling - we are delighted to have you with us!
We encourage the exchange of ideas, ideals, questions, insights into biblical telling - and there are already some wonderful comments, observations and recommendations on the site, and we look forward to having your input as well, as we share how we may best share The Greatest Story....
Hey Betsy, I just wrote you on regular email. What a super fine photo you have on this site!!
I am inviting you to be one of my friends in Professional Storyteller.
May this day and every day bring a new story, with telling potential, into your life! Jonatha
Conference is coming along. I'll be working on it some more today. Have you gotten the brochure yet? If not let me know and I'll have one sent to you. Thanks for coming to be a part of it. We'll have a good time.
I'll be working on scheduling performances within the next couple of weeks and working on the schedule .... BUT thankfully I have someone who is great with puzzles and will be helping me out with putting the schedule together.
I really enjoy working with you as a so Board Member of the KY Storytelling Association and on stage. You have a great talent and I learn something every time I am in your audiance.
Howdy pardner, welcome to the party, I guess I could join you at the curtain. I spent 20 years as a costume designer for the theatre, plus all the other tasks associated with the theatre.
teacher of gifted children; tree hugger, I like to find old writings, usually from the early 1800s used for edification, to turn them into stories. Dr. Seuss and Shel Silverstein are two of my favorite authors. I enjoy comedy, the theater (I've been in front of and behind the curtain in many productions, including as a dog wrangler), art galleries, campfires; and give me a tent and I can pitch it (my personal record is 15 feet!) One of my biggest thrills was telling at the largest elementary school in Europe in Derby, England.
