Jonesborough in Spring

Yesterday was the Jonesborough Garden Gala. I posted some pictures that I took so that those who only see our town in October can see it in Spring. I tagged most of the pictures so if you look at them individually, you'll see the descriptions. There are some pictures of the Henly's garden. I'm sure that during the festival, many of you cut through the alley from Main St. to the College St or Library tents. Those pictures show you what's on the other side of the whimsical wall. Hope you enjoy.

Hi Betty, Have you heard about the Saturday Series of workshops that are sponsored by VASA? The first one will be on Sat. Dec. 6 in Abingdon, VA at the Virginia Highlands Community College, 9:30 a.m. Two workshops will be presented, GROW with Kim Weitkamp on marketing and DIG IT with Paul Conco on developing the oral history. Lunch is included in the price of $75 for VASA members and will be followed by coaching, story labs, and story swaps. Contact me for more info if you're interested in coming. Mimi

2010 will be a great one. Nfld is one of the Canada's most interesting places and Dale already has some really exciting ideas. What are you up to post NSN.

Hey! Are you going to the conference? I hope, I hope!
If not, we definitely need to get together in October during the festival. It my be my last visit to TN for a good long time, sniff.

Hi. Are you the Betty Smith who used to work for NSN? If so, then I'd recognize your voice better than your person. I've talked to you a number of times on the phone. If you're not that Betty Smith, then I don't know you. But, I'd like to. Techo geek and web designer sounds interesting to me since I'm a real novice. I'd like to rub elbows with you--or should I say "link words"? Mimi Rockwell in Bristol

Dear CBS, we should raise a glass today, for no matter how much it is couched in friendly, polictically-nuanced, non-lawsuiting language, an era has come to an end. Let's hope for the brighter future, eh? -Sean (raving lunatic)
