I've decided to start a storytelling radio show. I need to produce the first few shows myself, to sell the idea to the big guys. That means I need to make the best shows I can to sell it. I would like to use you and one of your stories in the pilot episode. What do you say?
Liz Weir sent me the link to your blog. I really enjoyed what you wrote on song story and culture. Especially about standards for evaluating performance. This is usually a minefield for the forum of storytelling as no one really wants to say what works and what doesn't. Your question parameters allow a for a measuring stick, a way to self evaluate or evaluate in a group in a coherent and thorough manner.
All too often the discussion on evaluation is taken quite personally and so development becomes impossible.
Thank you for this tool, so useful!
If you have time check out the discussion or blog on here that I posted about an online archive of material that serves as proof as to why storytelling works. I would appreciate your point of view on the matter.
I just thought I would ask. I'm getting ready to finish my first book, Ghost Stories, and I'm trying to get a CD produced. Who is your publisher and recording label? I might as well try someone proven to get you out there.
Thanks for this and thanks again for your inspiring words.
Daniel Bishop, the Storyteller
The book nears completion. So must slow stuff like the index and all. I should have proofs from the layout artist soon, and that I can email. I will need a mailing address to send the book.
Say, how about signing on as my friend on this Ning?
