My entry into the world of Oral Tradition began with an invitation 14 years ago by the Burlington Storytellers' Guild to come and bring a favourite story. So I showed up with my favourite picture book, Heckedy Peg. Once the stories began, I quietly, though not as unobtrusively as I thought, slipped the book under my chair. That evening of quiet and compelling tales was a transforming moment in my life and I’ve been pursuing this art ever since. As artistic director for Storywyse Oral Tradition Storytelling, I present concerts for adults and The Camp of Tales and Enchantment for children. My associations include Storytellers of Canada-Conteurs du Canada, The Hamilton Story Circle and The Uppity Women.
