I have done you a great wrong, a disservice to your name and the good name of Bretts everywhere. Indeed it is Brett and not Brent as in earlier posts (see further down this page)...feel free to call me Clarence or Ciara or even Claire (my own nemesis of misspelling)....I hope this makes amends. I bow my head to you, Brett.
Hey Brett thanks for the note I will have to see if I can look up Christine! Was recently in Dublin where I got to do some telling for Milk & Cookies at the Exchange! Fantasic evening --even won the bake-off. Would love to learn more about your work.
I will be in Juneau on Sept 1, 2010 we dock at 2 PM and depart 10 PM. We are on the Princess Sapphire. I am escorting about 30ish up to your area...not sure what their plans are once we port....let's keep in contact...
Thanks so much...I book lots of guest to Alaska, in fact taking a group up in August...It would be great to meet you. I really want the Storytelling Cruise to be successful too. I love listening to storytelling; It is such an incredible art that I hope to not only get Storytellers from around the world together, but bring new folks into the mix. Help me spread the word.
Christine is a sweetie for saying so. I would love to read your article on your work. I am also trying to compile an archive of proof (academic, data, projects etc) that proves storytelling does all the good things we know it does ...some people need proof, governments, funders etc go figure!...so if you have anything like that send it as well!
Dusseldorf in September...it'd be fun to try to get to that. How's the scene up in Alaska? Is it fairly thriving?
I have heard many wonderful things about you from my fellow Irish storytellers and also in various schools that I have been into. You left quite an impression on my country! Glad to find you on here.
I live in Galway and run a local story night there.
Be nice to hear more about your work
