I have been touring the world collecting and telling stories for 30 years! One of my primary goals is to bring storytelling to new audiences; towards that end I work on a riverboat all summer, am a frequent keynote speaker at science teacher conferences, and work as a museum consultant. I also perform at the usual round of schools, churches, libraries, summer camps, and nature centers, My specialties as a teller include ecology and natural history, the way cultures reflect their ecosystems, and Midwestern/Western Expansion in American History. I also have four programs related to Abraham Lincoln and have recently developed several one man shows. These first person interpretive pieces are rooted in storytelling rather than 'acted.' I perform as John James Audubon, Charles Darwin, and Walt Whitman, to name a few. Finally, I am the author of ten books including the award winning children's picture book, The Web at Dragonfly Pond.
Thank you for sharing your educational resources. As Shari Lynn mentioned, should I use any of your material, I will site my source with great appreciation.
Thanks for the resource information and for giving it out to the community. I am continually amazed at how generous storyteller/educators are, especially when you are working with student tellers. I will certaily site my source if I use any of your material, as I always do. I look forward to perusing your website And hope to meet you someday!
