Hello... My name is Buck P Creacy.
I tell funny stories, Bible Stories, folk tales, fairy tales, every audience is safe with me, from grandchild to Grandpa. I have telling tales since I was 14, while I shined shoes at Slim's Barbershop. I love heart stories and hero stories and I love to tell tales that matter after the telling is through.

Yes Sir;
That's what I like to do.

What are you up to? Here is what I am doing...

Valentine's Day, Romance 101, and stuff I wish I hadn't done...

Some years ago, the same year that John Gray published "Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus," I had several gigs in the weeks prior to Valentines Day with several "H" card shops giving workshops on "Romance".  They were always full, couples, singles, male and female.  But the next year I couldn't bring myself to pitch the workshop to any of the local card stops.  The folks who attended ran the gambit, eager young couples wanting to get it right, brow beaten men accompanied by wives who…

This is a 3-way shout out to Buck, Mason K Brown, and Mike Lockett (the Normal storyteller), post here more about those conferences since I think they are ongoing.  I know they were held years ago.  I've still got a smidge of family there and think I could find a way some times to head that way.

Hi Buck, I met you at the Christian Storytellers Conference in Normal, IL a couple of months ago and wanted to thank you for your encouragement. That was my first experience of any kind in the "World of Storytelling." The story I worked on in your workshop that you told me needed work but was already a "3 star story" is now 5 stars. It contains such an important message, I really wanted to work on it first. For years I was so emotional about the experience, I could not share it at all. Thanks for helping me see/know/realize I needed to tell this story. When I shared it with my most trusted story listener yesterday, a professional singer, he said, I was, "killing him with that story." Thanks again, Mason Brown

Hi Buck,

Thanks for the welcome back in January. Somehow I got distracted by starting up a storytelling club ... here I am again, at last!

Buck,Thank you for the welcome.

My show ran for 14 years Nov-March, half an hour on Sun eves.  I had to get sponsors to pay for the air time and recorded the shows at home onto CD.  Recently the station manager told me they want no more paid programming, so no show this year.  Fishtrap Storytime is a child of, a writer's organization, and we may attach it to our website now. Shame to retire those 120 or so programs.

I am in the dark ages myself about computer stuff...

Hi Buck,
sorry I have been a little slow out of the station to thank you for your "welcome".
Actually I have been working on a 3 stage plan to introduce a Storytelling Festival here in Dubrovnik, I have already had some excellent advise and encouragement from other members.
I look forward to learning more.
Kindest regards,
