I am a part time professional storyteller from Cleveland, Ohio. Have been telling and listening to stories my whole life. Have written a fun e-book called "How to Get Started as a Professional Storyteller." Am very active in O.O.P.S! (Ohio Order for the Preservation of Storytelling).
Thanks so much, Aidana. As all can see, I really haven't participated and feel badly about that. It is a wonderful site (thank you, Dianne), and I promise that in the next few months, I will make an effort. Recently I have been involved with Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. Hint to all: great exposure!
Hi Chris. I ran across your page in Suite101.com and realized that that we were "friends" here. You have nice presence there in the "other world". I wonder if you wouldn't consider joining the group here called Applied Storytelling: the Power of Story and share with us some of your insights, wisdom and experiences. I'm sure we could all learn from you and I would love to see you post some things! Best wishes. STEVE
I think you will really love this site... for a lot of reasons. The main one being the community and the people themselves. Oh I am sorry to hear you won't be in Gatlinburg... it is going to be good... the Smokeys are terrific, maybe next time.
Let me echo what the others have said... this is a terrific site... I am looking forward to our Conference this year. Lots of good stuff in the Groups on this site too. Check out the Fishbowl.
Thank you, everyone, for your wonderful welcomes. I just hope that I can participate enough! I love all of you, and plan to share as much as possible.
Chris
Hey, Chris!
How wonderful to see you here. I'm sure you'll have lots to contribute after years of your useful website & attending your session at the NSN conference in Pittsburgh! Look forward to seeing what you've learned since then & my reviewing anything I've forgotten or said I'd try later. Later is now!
Welcome to the site. I wondered when you would be joining us, especially with your online experience.
You may have noticed that your e-book comes up number one in a Google search for "professional storyteller" while this network ranks as number three.
Since you are active in O.O.P.S., how often do you do activities with your guild. Do you have chapters? The Utah Storytelling Guild has several chapters and each chapter meets monthly.
