When I tell stories, I return in spirit to a quiet place -- the "just my size" book nook my father built and carpeted for me -- and the stories I first imagined there: tales of Irish elves, fairytale stepmothers, and Greek heroes. Therefore, my first wish as a storyteller is to bring all my listeners -- children, teens, and adults -- to that place where they remember their first stories... where they find themselves again at their parents', grandparents', or babysitters' knees, pictures filling their minds and hearts.
Hello Claire
I am really glad you joined the Marketing Group. Tell everyone... what we are looking for is "best practices" What works for you might work for someone else too. One of the really good things is the entry Getting Ready for Market. It is about GTD and 43 files. Read it if you haven't already... very useful stuff. But as always.. pick and choose what will work for you
I have to wonder what it's like to be the Cat in the Hat's cousin?
I met the Cat in the Hat himself (ok--so his name was Devin), but I am curious how you portray yourself to the audience.
By the way, if you want to see Devin (a.k.a. the Cat in the Hat), then go to my blog at http://www.storytellingadventures.blogspot.com. It will be easy to see the two of you related!
Hey Claire
I would like to invite to go to the video section and see some pretty good stories and some real fancy footwork of Dianne and I doing the Tango.... you will like that. She is pretty good at the Can Can too. Seriously, there are more talented tellers here to talk about our work and discuss the issues around the business of our work. Please join, if you like, the Marketing Group... we are currently focusing on "best practices" And there is a lot to glean... take what you want and leave the rest. Tell us what you are doing and perhaps we can glean and get better too. All of the Groups have been so good. The Blogs and the Discussions... really make you think and the beautiful part.. it is so positive... frank.. truthful.. but positive. I love it.

So glad you found this place for storytellers. There are a lot of great features here and you should click around on everyone's pages... listen to their uploaded stories and watch the cool videos. When I was young, we children would tell stories up in a cottonwood tree near our home. I know what you mean about a place "just my size." welcome and have fun

Sounds like you two are doing fine. Glad to see you here and of course, i appreciate the invite. Things are going well for us and interesting for me.
Perhaps we'll catch up with each other on the road soon and can bend each other's ear for awhile.
BTW ...Congrats Ms. President Pro-Temp of NCSG. I can't wait to see what your 'reign' will bring. ;>0
Take care,
Wright

Welcome aboard. It's great to find your smiling face this morning. There's so much here I haven't had time to explore it.
Until next time,
Sylvia
