HALLOWEEN STORIES
A man wakes up in an oddly quiet house… a girl takes a strange walk through a dark town… an old lady finds a missing body part… a mortician battles underground grave robbers… a boy meets an unusually large pumpkin who won’t stop talking to him…
…in a Halloween program that is just scary enough.

The people of Bloomington used to collectively hate the richest and stingiest man in town, who lived in a beautiful house with a wife who hated him!
Right here in Bloomington …a local mechanic was tarred and feathered… a cook was thrown to an angry mob… a prankster set off a decorative cannon in a park… a town father suddenly found himself in possession of dozens of umbrellas…
“The Most Dangerous Woman in America” came to town and started a helpful riot… a mob of people sacked our newspaper, threw its printing press out the window and set it on fire!
And it’s here in Bloomington where the nation’s first brick road was laid, the national Republican Party was started, and the curveball was mastered.
I host the See-Where-It-Happened Tour for Bloomington Parks & Rec, taking people to where these things happened to tell them the story.
I am now offering this program to Bloomington – Normal schools!
Give your students a sense of local history they will keep for life!

Welcome to the neatest place on the web for storytellers. Excellent groups about lots of things that are important to storytellers. Like... marketing, promotional materials, where to find stories... there are also some of us who have uploaded audio files to our pages so you can hear us tell... hope you upload yours too. Check out the fun videos and just make yourself at home. Good people and good effort to help each other.
Don't be a stranger... if I can help you with anything.. just ask.
Welcome again
