Hi Deepa, thanks for your reply about storytelling contacts in India. I'm not sure whether you meant to delete it again, but it's now gone before I could note what what you said. I remember it was helpful, so could you repost it? Or send it privately to me if you like. I'd love for myself to also hear more detail about the storytelling world in India.
Dear Deepa, I shall be writing to you soon. My idea is to place storytellers on a geographic map (mapz of imagination) together with special places with a living story so that we can establish presidiums of oral traditions and allow people to come into contact through new forms of tourism. Do you know of any potential storygardenz in India ? For the moment I am looking at the Mahabarata, Ramayana and also some residential storygardenz connected with Gandhi (also to complete the triangle of other partners Ruskin and Tolstoy. See website www.storygardenz.com
While our network is called Professional Storyteller, it's a journey open to all of us who love storytelling. By the way, if you go to the Members section & put IN or India in the search box, you will find others from India. Because IN is also the abbreviation for the state of Indiana here in the U.S., you will also find some from there, too.
