7-31-09 How Swine Flu Turns a Household Topsy Turvy - Dianne de Las Casas

It is the Day After. The day after we found out our 19 year old daughter tested positive for swine flu. Life is so far from “normal.”

At 10:00 a.m. this morning, I donned my blue surgical mask from the doctor’s office and checked on Soleil. She was snuggled underneath her comforter, snoring slightly, probably due to the fact that she cannot breathe through her nose and has to breathe entirely through her mouth. I… Continue

School Visits & Swine Flu, Wednesday, April 29, 2009 - Dianne de Las Casas

I have been traveling like crazy lately. In one week, I have seen students in California, Louisiana, and Connecticut. With the World Health Organization raising the flu pandemic alert level to 5 (out of 6), it is important for all of us to take an extra measure of precaution when traveling and working in schools.

* Constant Hand-washing - During any flu season, hand-washing is a must. Use soap and water as hot as you can stand it. The Mayo Clinic recommends that… Continue

Dear Diane, I wanted to congratulate you on this resource which you have created. I have just put a link from our website Our idea is to place storytellers on a geographic map (mapz of imagination) together with special places with a living story so that we can establish presidiums of oral traditions and allow people to come into contact through new forms of tourism. We began about 2 years ago and already have some institutional partners. A US film has just been completed on my work, landscapes and stories. (Going DA-DO) We are having a preview in Philadelphia on the 27th November. Want to come ? In any case I am looking forward to working with Professional Storyteller and drawing attention to it. Yours Bernard (Dado) Anson Silj
