Friends:

It is the Day After. The day after we found out our 19 year old daughter tested positive for swine flu. Life is so far from “normal.”

School Visits & Swine Flu, Wednesday, April 29, 2009 - Dianne de Las Casas

Friends:

I have been traveling like crazy lately. In one week, I have seen students in California, Louisiana, and Connecticut. With the World Health Organization raising the flu pandemic alert level to 5 (out of 6), it is important for all of us to take an extra measure of precaution when traveling and working in schools.

* Constant Hand-washing - During any flu season, hand-washing is a must. Use soap and water as hot as you can stand it. The Mayo Clinic recommends that children wash their ha… Continue

Update on Dianne de Las Casas' Recovery; Monday, December 15, 2008

Friends:

It's been a week since my hysterectomy. I am happy to say the surgery was successful. I am home, in the recovery process. It hasn't been easy. The first few days were kind of foggy as I relied heavily on medication to get me through the pain. I get around okay but my body is out of whack - my systems don't function as they should. I am off the pain medication so I am much more coherent. I have good days and bad days, just as my doctor promised. I can't wait to get back to "normal."

I couldn't have done it without such a supportive community.

Dianne, I finally broke down, put a crow bar in my wallet and bought your book, Story Biz. (I've known I needed it for a long time but I'm cheap and $45 is a lot.)
On the test in the front, you say "if you check 3 or more..." What if you checked them all? What does that tell you?
Thanks for the book

My favorite myth is the myth of Inanna, goddess of heaven and earth. I have been telling this myth several times in Norway and Denmark and also combine it with a Goddess-workshop. To see the myth alive in our life today.
I enjoy to search for new ways on how the telling of myths and stories can help and give inspiration , in combination with workshops, drama, psychodrama and guided meditations. Thank you again for accepting me , I look forward to know more about storytellers and telling all over the world.
