It will soon be Saint Valentine's Day again, I wonder how many of you know of the story of Valentine and how it was he was given the title "Saint."

Here is the story of how Valentine had the word Saint added   to his simple life "after his death."  St. Valentine's StoryLet me introduce myself. My name is Valentine. I lived in Rome during the third century. That was long, long ago! At that time, Rome was ruled by an Emperor named Claudius. I didn't like Emperor Claudius, and I wasn't the only one! A lot of people shared my feelings.Claudius wanted to have a big army. He expected men to volunteer to join. Many men just did not want to…See More

MARIKO, The story of many children who live this way. Willowdown

MARIKOMariko - sanA child was born on a rubbish tip. Its mother was the shell of an old broken fridge and her father was a rusty old pick up truck. Her name was Mariko-san and she had thick black curly hair, golden-brown skin, eyes like glorious stars and a little mouth like a rose-bud.When she smiled, which was most of the time, her face was a garden of beautiful flowers. When she cried, which was not very often, little silver tears fell from her eyes and watered the garden of her face. Soon…See More

I have just come across a wee story/poem that I wrote a couple of years ago

I was wondering if anyone ever comes across something they have written and put on line then forgotten all about them, I was looking through my friends website/blog. the other day and came across two of my tongue in cheek poems as I call them, it was before I developed the new Dodies Dream World, and I sent them to her to view and hadn't realised she had put them out for me.I haven't had much time to do hardly any writing this past week, as I have to tell you all that my mother in law had a…See More

This is me, in trouble all ready.

How can anyone who can produce four well visited web sites, find it so difficult to operate a simple instruction when I'm on someone else's web site.
I have playlists of my own to add and videos from youtube by the dozen, but I cannot up load the simplest playlist. I am going to make an attempt here to add an image and if I do it, then I shall treat myself to cheese with my baked potatoes and, and real butter. I might also have a cup of tea with two , yes two spoons of sugar in it. It looks like I am going to have to start from the beginning again and come and look at everybodies page and leave questions everywhere. Hope to pop one of my stories on later, when I sort it out, like, how many lines I'm allowed etc, oh dear it's hard work being a dragon you know.

Four Paws

Four-Paws, the kitten from the farm,

Is come to live with Betsey Jane,

Leaving the stack-yard for the warm

Flower-compassed cottage in the lane,

To wash his idle face and play

Among chintz cushions all the day.

Under the shadow of her hair

He lies, who loves him nor desists

To praise his whiskers and compare

The Tabby bracelets on his wrists
