Hi Doug
I'm a storyteller in Argentina. I tell stories in English to people all ages who are studying the language.
I've found Improving Your Storytelling really helpful! And my dream is to attend some of your coaching sessions. Though I'll have to fly a long way, please keep me posted.

I've attended Burt Dubin's seminar and have been getting his tapes/cds since ~1995. I understand you've done some work with him? I love what you're doing with helping storytellers as does Dubin with Speakers. I look forward to connecting with you. I'm disappointed I missed your teleseminar in March. RK

Doug,
Years ago, I took a storytelling workshop given by you and Jay O'Callahan in Tallahassee, AL. I went by my former married name at the time - Debbie Rauch. I was the storyteller with the braids. I was working on a family tale titled "The Red Skies Of Orestes." Both you and Jay were so helpful. In fact, that story will be included in my 2nd published book (publication pending later in 2008 or early 2009) titled "White Reindeer, Kudzu Monster, & Other Tales Of Wonder" under my pen name of DJ Lyons. I want to thank you so much for being such a great teacher and coach at that workshop.

Additionally, I flew out to Massachusetts and took your fairy tale workshop many years ago as well. Lastly, I took a workshop in Jonesborough with you back when NSN was called NAPPS. I learned so much from you at all three workshops. I so apprecaite what a great teacher and coach you were and are. Thank you!

Have a wonderful day!

Best Wishes,
Debbie Dunn aka DJ Lyons

If you were to give 3 pointers to someone who has just jumped off the comfortable dock of regional storytelling into the ocean of national storytelling, what would they be? Not that I’m asking for myself... I mean... well... yes. I’m asking for myself.
Thanks

I hear from Adriana Cassani and Steffani Raff that they are working to get you out here to Utah again. I am thrilled!

Steffani glows every time she mentions the friendship you two share via phone. It has been a blessing to her life.
