Professional Storyteller is a network for people who work in the field of oral storytelling. Please write a brief paragraph about your work.
I'm a Portuguese author living a little everywhere in Europe. I like gardening, photography, art, music, pets, and books – those written by others and those I write, especially those she writes for children… of all ages. I have a passion for History and travelling, and I love my two sons. Read excerpts from my books, legends and tall tales, the texts of my posts and conferences, articles about health plants, and whatever you find in my website – www.dulcerodrigues.info – and feel free to tell me what you think… about anything.
You're on the right track by joining the group, Storytelling in Portugal. We have a general international group and some other specific areas, but not one that mentions Belgium. However we do have Belgian members! That search box in the upper right corner is how you can learn who they are. Put in the word Belgium and you can see who you might want to contact. You can say on their Comment Wall that you are coming and also send them a Friend request. We've had some spammers lately so we don't advise taking conversations off to private email beyond this network until you get to know each other. If you asked that way, people might not think you were trustworthy and might not reply back to you. We also have many members who are inactive, so some may not respond for that reason also.
I've made several good friends here, as well as general contacts, and hope this works well for you. As I recently blogged here, The More We Use P.S. the more valuable it becomes.
Your writing legends and tall tales will certainly touch the interests of oral storytellers and, since this is a network for oral storytelling, I hope we can influence you to try it. It's a great way to test what you write with an audience. Be sure to put Portugal in the search box (upper right corner of each screen) to find members and storytelling near you. We're definitely international, so it can also help locate contacts as you travel.
