Hi Elaine, I was having a look to your homepage and realized that you studied with Tony Montanaro. did we ever meet in the Barn? I wonder.... I studied with him from 1992, first in Germany, then 1995 I came summer after summer to the Celebration Barn until he passed 2002 to an other storyland......I took private classes with him as much as I could. And still he is very present when I work on stories....
Elaine, I was a dancer and then a mime for a number of years. It looks like you use physical movement for your stories. I do so much better when I am moving around in stead of holding a mic. The audience is more engaged when you are moving. Tell us more about your work. Are there any video DVD sorts of places you can be found?
Best wishes, Maggie Green
yes, it was so nice to hear from you! I flagged your message so I'd write when I had more time and it got buried. Right now I have to get to bed. Been a very busy week wearing the Speech Pathology hat but got to tell at Granite State Storytelling Swap Concert last Saturday. More later, I hope, I hope! Jean
Hello Elaine, I'd love to see any of your performances....
regrettably I haven't left San Diego much lately, and intend to. Do you know about Punch performed by the Rougue Ensemble, ending Sept. 7 @ Bootleg Theatre in L.A. They are super visionary/performers. Will you keep me posted when yu perform? Warmly,Yours in the love of movement, Mindy Donner
David--Congrats on the marriage! I would have to mail it to you as it is very long, but can understand that you might be uncomfortable with that. I believe that you'll be at the NSN (where I was chosen to perform at the Regional Conference--yeah!), and I could bring it then. Just let me know and I'll put it on my "to take to conference" pile.
