A discussion group for those who use (or want to use) stories in primarily business environments. Questions, tips, advise, methods, etc. are welcome. This is primarily oriented to business but all others are welcome to join. Cross pollination works.
You join many of us here from all over the world who started out in theater and branched out into storytelling. Your blog and the photos of you in action are also worth posting on your profile page here. I also enjoyed…"
Professional Storyteller is a network for people who work in the field of oral storytelling. Please write a brief paragraph about your work.
Graduated in Performing Arts, I am a scenic artist for over ten years. My activities involve theater (acting, direction and teaching), storytelling, performance art and literature and for the last three years I dedicate myself to research the friction between these artistic languages. My first solo performance, Palavras Errantes, was presented at the Literary Festival of Paraty (FLIP), at the Fringe Festival in Curitiba, at bookstores, libraries and other events. Currently, I am a Coordinator of Performing Arts in SESI-SP; I tell stories alone and with my group called Passarim; I’m specializing in Klauss Vianna’s movement technique at PUC-SP, I write short stories for children and adults and I publish on my blog a series called Encontramentos in which I interview people who work with the art of storytelling.
You join many of us here from all over the world who started out in theater and branched out into storytelling. Your blog and the photos of you in action are also worth posting on your profile page here. I also enjoyed your motto of "silêncio, palavra e movimento." Videos can be posted here, too, showing that "movimento."
Enjoy networking here internationally, whether from the theater, teaching, or writing background you have or have a totally different way of approaching storytelling. We all have so much to share with each other.
