I appreciate you unplugging over the holidays. I'm not often on-line, when I'm at home, but since my job is computer-based, I tend to be touring the Internet more time than I probably "should".
I think you would appreciate this story then,"Uncle Vernon's Lie". I've always wanted to turn it into an oral tale, but it has so many luscious details I'm not sure how I would begin. I'm guessing you like Urban Fantasy, as published by the like of Neil Gaiman and Charles de Lint. It is definitely my favourite genre, since I believe there is more wonder and magick in the world than most people realize or recognize.
My own storytelling repertoire spans from fairy tales to folklore (especially trickster tales) to mythology, all told in a casual, modern style. I suppose I need to narrow down my scope some for the sake of marketing, but I've really only just started this as a profession. Suffice to say, I'm not sure which direction I'm heading next.
