Professional Storyteller is a network for people who work in the field of oral storytelling. Please write a brief paragraph about your work.
An Appalachian native, Faye Wooden weaves “Laughter, Legends, Lessons and Life” into storytelling performances for all ages. Her musical voice has a deep hypnotic quality, and she sometimes uses music to enhance her stories. “Her performances touch the very fabric of people’s lives” at school, library, civic, church or family events and prestigious storytelling festivals. Faye holds a M.Ed. in Storytelling from ETSU. She has been a teacher, banker, university administrator, bear trapper, herbalist, published author and pet therapy volunteer. In addition to performing, Faye conducts storytelling workshops and directs the annual Haunting in the Hills Storytelling Festival.
