Professional Storyteller is a network for people who work in the field of oral storytelling. Please write a brief paragraph about your work.
Gail is a professional storyteller and teaching artist. She works in schools, libraries, colleges, and community organizations. "I love working with people to bring out their creativity and uniqueness. I am writing 3 books simultaneously: Tall Tales with Students, Orphanage Tales of Mischievous Martha-my mother-in-law, and Organic Storytelling! I moved from Maryland last year to New England." Gail has performed stories on 4 continents.
Hello again, Gail. Sorry I'm so late in responding. I went out of the country for a few weeks in August, and when I got home my father's declining health went into a tailspin. He passed away Labor Day weekend, so I'm just now getting back into circulation. Resuming where we left off, I'm definitely interested in the Tall Tale Liar's Festival. Garrett Co. isn't too much of a stretch for me. My wife and I use to rent a cabin up near Deep Creek lake summers back when our kids were small-fry. What are the dates for the next Festival? I'll send you a few brochures for my business: A Sea of Stories. Take care -- Marc.
What a great site PS has become and what a great community of tellers. Forgive me for being so late in greeting you. My heart decided to throw a little surprise party at the emergency room... not a heart attack just Pericarditis (non-lethal... only painful condition). I am recovering nicely, was able to go ahead and get married and move. So you might forgive my late greeting. Hope you join some of the groups... mine will pick back up as I get more settled into our new routines. Anyway... welcome to PS and I hope you learn to love it and this wonderful collection of tellers as much as I do.

Greetings and welcome to this great site. I hope you find it useful. Would you consider joining the Applied Storytelling: the Power of Story group? We would love to have wisdom and insights added to the discussions and would welcome you starting some of your own! Best wishes to you. STEVE
GAIL!!! What a delight to see you here. Needless to say I'm sending you a friend request. Folks, if you don't know Gail's work & knowledge yet, you're in for a treat. Just allow time for her response as she may be BUSY, make that VERY BUSY. LoiS(orry for all the shouting in this comment, but I'm excited to see you here) P.S. Trust you will join the Y.E.S.! group here.
If you leave a comment on someone's Wall it is public. If you click on Send a Message, found under the person's photo or their name and icon if they don't post a photo, it goes privately into that person's Inbox.
Love your photos, Gail. It was like a mini visit. Oh, you might want to edit the part of your profile that lists your location as still being your old MD spot. Your Mount Holyoke photo looks like you've settled into your new location. (But Tom and I still have great memories of your MD place.)
Prowl the various categories found at the top of each page to re-acquaint yourself with the many ways to network here. Of course there's always so much to talk about, my friend, so it's good we can do it by Wall or Message. I trust you know I'm always happy to stay in touch with you.

That's the comments on your former wall. Is it o.k. to take it down now?

O.k. the last 3 need re-doing.
I'm a Maryland-based storyteller. Where can I find out more about the tall tale liar's festival?

Here's the content from your original wall, Gail. I'll have to do more than 1.
