From too-close-for-comfort black bear encounters, to raising an owl in his bedroom as a young boy, to the role of sweet tea in southern society, Storier Jim Pfitzer’s personal stories reveal the magic in childhood, the sanctity in wilderness, and the joys of simple living. Jim specializes in helping people young and old find the magical moments in their lives and bringing them to life in story.
Jim, Sounds great! I love the area. I will be coming south in the next four months. Would love to get in on a storytelling performance.. I have dear friends in Chattanooga. Some of my old students. How do I get your schedule for performances? I know they would like to attend too. Will keep in touch.
Where were you before Chattanooga?
That's fantastic re: your historic home. It's probably very beautiful. Do you have photos?
I'm just starting my professional storytelling gigs in Nashville. Right now, I have a regular storytime at a local bookstore and I'm scheduled to do a 30 min. program in July at one of our libraries. Plus, I have a possible workshop project with a school in the fall. It seems like a good start, but I feel like I'm still floundering a bit. Any advice?
Murfreesboro is where the library, where I work, is located. I love my day job as a cataloger, but I look forward to stretching my performance skills as well.
