My First Post

Your words are a hurricane
Slamming me with torrential rain
I wonder, as they toss me to and fro
Which way, next, your wind will blow

-- J. Ryan Rosser --

I have been public speaking since I was 10, which was before I could officially "speak". When I was a child, I had incredibly horrid speech impediments. Try being blessed with the name "Ryan Rosser" when you can't pronounce either "R" or "S". My older brother, Chris, had to translate everything I said which usually got me into trouble.… Continue

Dear J Ryan:

Here is a belated welcome to the "College Big Cats: Tracking and Capturing Gigs" group. You realize that any comment or question you post will be considered an expert opinion--so embrace your status!

You may have noticed the e-Course there on basic marketing for college venues.

Until we tell again,

Hey, Ryan -

saw your note to Peter; I was at Tejas, too - he was awesome, wasn't he? Did you stick around for the liars contest? I took part in that and a couple of other things -

Be there this year? I have a workshop Friday morning - if there, I do hope to see you -

Hi Ryan, It's a bit daunting, isn't it? I live in a country where storytelling in English will be a little harder to break into. I haven't been to many storytelling events and my experience has been in the classroom only. I am now studying storytelling and hope to carry on that way. My teacher has lots of events that she organises so hopefully, slowly, slowly I will attain my goal. Good luck to you. Maybe we can swap beginner stories!
