Jackie's great site Story-Lovers.com continues as a wonderful resource for storytellers to find storytelling suggestions. Just found a way to contact Jackie on her birthday! She has a Facebook page she doesn't use, but it helped me find her (thanks, Allison!). She has very limited computer and email access.
Does that mean she's barely functioning!
Dunberidiculous! ! !
We had a great talk. She's recovered from her heart attack and, although her mobility is limited, her spirit is PURE JACKIE! Since she can't do her printing for story-lovers business now, she's crocheting. She makes small stuffed crocheted animals for children. Some even sell, but any that don't are donated. They go to hospitalized kids who usually get blankets, but love having toys. Sounds like Santa, Babushka, Befana et al. Doesn't it figure?
Professional Storyteller is public, so if you want to reach her by "snail mail" (since she's just not up to online) contact me.
Told her how she is loved and remembered and her Story-Lovers site is still a recommended and used resource, but you can always slip a note saying your own comments in her mail. LoiS(he's still our bubbly Bubbul-a!)
Hey Birthday Girl (oh what the heck, it's just 3 days ago I wished you a Happy B'day!),
Your happy profile pic was on the main page & I just had to stop by to say HI! once again. I remember when you had a problem getting your picture posted & signed up 2x! It's great to see you settling in here with Photos, Groups, Discussions, & Comments like Debra's delight in seeing you. (I understand the joyous feeling Bubbul-a!!!)
Call me a Trekkie, but what pops into my head is the Vulcan greeting: Live long & prosper.
oooh my sweeeeeeeeeet JACKIE BALDWINNN!!!
I can't believe I ACTUALLY FINALLY MET YOU ONE WEEK AGO (((TODAY!!!!))) at "LEON'S" in San Francisco!! wooohooo!!!
What a TREAT MEETING YOU, MY FRIEND!!! :-)
Talk to you soon I hope?
What an outstanding resource for librarians across the country involved in "Catch the Reading Bug!" I urge all involved with this Summer Reading Program to take advantage of this. I was able to pull it up at work. Thank you seems so inadequate for such an invaluable resource.
My computer won't let me download the "Catch the Reading Bug" goldmine. What to do? Time is running out! I'm a children's librarian in Henrico County, Virginia and this resource is exactly what I need for the Summer Reading Program! Please advise.

Your picture makes me smile! -- but that seems to be my usual reaction to you. You look like you hate taking pictures even more than I do. . . & I've a hard record to top. May your "About Me" section stay true a loooooooooooooooooong time. You're such a great resource (& a personal treasure).
I always look forward to your Storylovers World broadcasts. They've provided me with lots of enjoyment and in some cases stories to work on for some of my own performances. The work you did on storytelling in education will be invaluable in helping me market myself in schools. Thanks for all your hard work.
Glad you are here and I know you will enjoy this great group of people. Check out the videos, upload one of your own.. lots of good stuff here... Join a discussion or start a group to address your burning issues... whatever you want... just have fun
Dianne de Las Casas is the creator of this nifty site and she did it just for us.
