Hi all, Jeremy Evans here. I've been telling stories for about 8 years now and have enjoyed just about every min. of it. I'm now 20 and am trying to make the transition from youth teller to professional teller. I was the Grandtorch Bearer at the 2004 NYSO (now NYSS) and I haven't missed a showcase since. I tell all over FL and have told in TN and NM and would really REALLY like to travel more with my telling.
You were wonderful to have attend my workshop at the 2007 National Storytelling Conference. I look forward to all that you will contribute to the group. Feel free to start discussions or make comments within the "College Big Cats" group.
You may have noticed the e-Course there on basic marketing for college venues.
My name's Dustin and I'm in the same boat as you! I'm 19 and combine the art of tap dancing to my stories. You do have a bit more experience then I do, (4 more years ; ) )) but I'm also working on the transition from youth teller to professional teller.
It seems like you have already told in many places. I'm hoping that maybe we could help each other out so we can both make it out there.
Welcome to Professional Storyteller. It didn't take long for you to pile up your friends on your profile. You just joined today and have more comments than some people get in a week. Too cool! I have read about your work and am very impressed with your resume. I look forward to hearing more from you. Please join some of the groups - Story Biz and Marketing would be ideal for you, since you would like to tour more... Best wishes and have fun on the site!
