Member of the international storytelling group “Healing Words 2009”, a cooperation between the Gate to Humanity Centre in Israel and the School of Storytelling at Emerson College in England, using storytelling as a tool for creating peaceful relations between Israelis and Arabs.
Founder and president of the Storytelling Network of Northern Sweden. Was 2005-2009 in the board of the Storytelling Network of Sweden (BNS) and main responsible for Storytelling Slam, the last year as president of BNS. In the reference group “Stories of the North” for “Umeå Capital of Culture 2014” and in the board of Writers´ Centre North. Published in several anthologies. Won the first Swedish Mastership in Storytelling Slam in 2005. Leads Storytelling Café “Northern Lights”.
Tells fairytales for children but still more often autobiographical stories for both children and grownups, wisdom stories, wonder stories, healing stories, funny stories. She wants to touch the listeners, communicate with them and give them courage. And have fun together!
Unfortunately, I will not be in Lausanne for FEST. I am in the U.S. and have other obligations. I am a full-time author and storyteller and I have book projects due. I could, perhaps, attend a meeting by Skype (video chat) as a representative of Professional Storyteller. I am glad that things went well with the publisher! All my best! Dianne
