Professional Storyteller is a network for people who work in the field of oral storytelling. Please write a brief paragraph about your work.
I am constantly amazed by the impact of finding, crafting and telling our stories, and listening as others do the same. I love to make sense of and entertain with stories from 'real life', and also to teach others to mine their lives for meaning and stories. My storytelling practice has ranged across the storytelling genres, beginning with traditional tales, and settling on memoir stories for adults. I work with people and groups from all walks of life. I am on the committee of Storytelling Australia Victoria.

I noticed the other day when writing out the first step for creating a Storytelling Project, that it involves two sets of words…

Storytelling as One of the Feeling Arts

When I teach storytelling workshops one of the hardest thing for me to explain is the nature of the progress that needs to be made by the teller in the story;  the internal journey of the teller.

And a critical part of this if showing us the emotions that they felt as they grapples with the events, makes sense of them and arrive at the…
