Profile Information

About Me:
I tend to tell powerful stories that kick you out of balance and then help you land in safety. I execute my work through performances, workshops, talks and writing for trans-media formats. I'm constantly and deliberately pushing toward excellence in storytelling and receiving the recognition it deserves. Why? Because I think there is not enough amazing storytelling to go around. I believe humanity deserves its soul back, the permission to do our best and help each other speak the truth. I'm also deeply interested in the connection between high science, storytelling and politics. That's on the blade side. To the Chalice: I love people and love listening to people. The amount of compassion people stimulate in me makes me an easy weeper, in joy and in sadness. CEO of The Story Telling Company Inc.

Looking for storytellers from around Windermere, UK

Hi there,
A student of mine will visit the Windermere area between 26-29th of September.
She was wondering if she might get lucky about storytelling events and storytellers there.
Any information anyone?
Regards, Limor.

Stories for a strong spirit - asking for help

I'm asking for your help and collective wisdom. You all know what is going on in my part of the world. Obviously we are running around reaching out with the power of story in shelters. But we can do much more, so we feel. This led us to the possibility of broadcasting on the national radio and we have a way in. This choice is better than broadcasting on the internet for these reasons:

-Most people are religiously listening to the radio in times of crisis.

-The internet requires infrastructure… Continue

Limor, I have received your question about storytellers in Romania and Bulgaria by mail, but I cannot find it here in PS. > ?
For Romania you should contact Carmen Palcu from Ion Cranga Theatre in Bukarest. (http://www.teatrulioncreanga.ro/terms.jsp?lang=en)
For Bulgaria the House of Humour and Satyre in Gabrovo might help your colleague. (http://www.humorhouse.bg/engl/englindex.html)
Good luck!

Limor,

Just a note to say I'm thinking of you and my friends and family in Israel during the present military operations. Everyone here in America seems to agree that the media is presenting a distorted account of events in and around Gaza. However the politics of the listeners seem to define which side they believe the reporting is biased towards. All I know for certain is that a lot of good people are in harm's way. It seems unlikely that this latest flare-up will result in any lasting improvements in the situations of the Israelis or the Palestinians. On the other hand, Israel can't just sit idly by while rockets land on Sderot and Ashquelon every day. This dilemma is painful for every thoughtful Israeli I know. All I can offer is support and encouragement from afar, and my sincere gratitude for the ceaseless burden the citizens of your nation bear on behalf of all our people throughout the world. I wish you peace, speedily and in our lifetimes.

Shalom,

Marc

We've plenty of sand here for your boat. Mind, you might have to haul it a goodly ways, but you look strong and fit. :-)

You herald quite a background, Limor, with your "diplomatic" upbringing and international landscape. How often do you make it to Phoenix? Lovely meeting you online, by the way. Looking forward to our conversations.
