ola Luis!

como estamos? I have shared our little "la vida, que dura" with some Norwegian tellers...you may start to hear it said in other languages. Hope you are keeping well.

How was Wandering Words? I wish I could have been there!

Blessings for the wedding,
chat soon

Storytelling, Self and Society has run one special edition on a performance context, and 3 performance reviews across the issues I have seen.

is The Crick Crack Club recommended book list - some of these relate to performance theory
BUT there is very little writing grounded and linked to the work of performance theorists yet - and I think needs to be more.

your questions on Storytelling as a Performing Art - Theory.
Try Richard Bauman - Story, Performance, Event or Verbal Art as Performance - both from a folklorists perspective, but relevant to the stage tradition.
Mike Wilson - Storytelling and Theatre - recent book from the UK, I disagree with some of the political aspects - but it is interesting in terms of emerging theory
Who Says! Essays on Contemporary Storytelling Birch and Heckler Eds, US based collection of theories

Hi Luis,

curious to meet you in Lausanne. I have been to Evora several time but unfortunately did not know that there is a storytelling group.

Best wishes from Vienna,
Birgit

Hola Luis

Welcome to the site. Have you had much contact with the Contabandistas in Lisboa? Lovely to find more portuguese tellers on here!
