I'm a storyteller and musician. I live and work in Greece, and I tell in greek and english, and sometimes in spanish. All my stories are from the oral tradition,, ranging from very short myths andtales through wondertales to quite long epic tellings. I tell in many different situations, in schools and museums, festivals, theatres, hospitals etc. I own a large tent, the "jaima" which I set up all over greece creating a wonderful storytelling space.
I also enjoy leading storytelling workshops and drum circles.
Good morning Manya,
I had a look on your page on My Space. The "jaima" is a beautiful space you created. I would love to listen to you, also in this marvellous space and drum circles.
How wide is the tent and how many persons can come...do you travel outside Greece with your tent?
Have a very nice day
looking forward to reading you again.
Nathalie
Hoi Manya, first, I have a wrong email adress of you. Send me the the good one please.
Nice to hear from your work with the tent.. great. go on.
I hope to be ready to take the road with Lotus ! my nice stallionhorse and wagon. I got maybe an offer last week. In the near future I will knom more. Might be a tour to villages around town, with two young theatre-actors and their play.
Lotus is a 3 yr young stallion, a gypsyhorse, a Tinkerhorse. Black wth white spots. Nice character, gentle, allert, I start learning driving him in a wagon soon. Later with my gypsywagon. We did that once and he pulled it right away, easely. So you know the feeling: it's a kind of a dive into the unknown, but supported by the energy of your dream coming thrue.
What it will bring we will see. Now is now.
I will send you some photo's when I do have your ok adress.
All the best, Joe
Hello Manya, thanks for the warm welcome.
I've been to Greece for the first time this summer. The only problem was I was taken there by surprise by my 'in a relationship' as a birthday present. So I had very little time to prepare and could not contact you. I was there with people who know Greece and Athens very well but to my great dismay did not know where Grammatico is. We went to hear Leonard Cohen - I was hoping you might be there... then we stayed in Hydra for several days. Now I have a Greece 'homing device' - I'll be back no doubt.
Welcome to Professional Storyteller. It has long been a dream to travel to Greece! I admire the work that you do and would love to join you in your jaima. I hope you enjoy the site and I hope that you make many wonderful connections here. Best wishes!
Warmly,
