Margaret Meyers commented on Brother Wolf's blog post Should Storytelling Conferences be Professionally Recorded?
"I agree that a professional gets paid. There is only so much anyone can do for free. I am amazed at the number of people who don't realize a storyteller should get paid for telling stories. We should just do it for fun, right? And the person…"

Margaret Meyers commented on Brother Wolf's blog post Should Storytelling Conferences be Professionally Recorded?
"Eric, your answer was strongly worded but so true. I am pushing and pushing for media presence. But we really have to have people on the board who know a lot more than I do because I can't envision what I don't know. But even before we get…"

Margaret Meyers commented on Brother Wolf's blog post Should Storytelling Conferences be Professionally Recorded?
"What a group! Here's the process: Karen Wollscheid is now in charge of the NSN website and has great visions for what we can put there. So you should check with her on whether she sees the recordings as part of storynet.org. Personally I like…"

Margaret Meyers commented on Brother Wolf's blog post Should Storytelling Conferences be Professionally Recorded?
"Sean, it was Tim who asked for the recording to be part of the budget. I have to say we don't have it in the conference budget and it won't be in the conference budget unless someone who cares about paying people to record the sessions has…"

Who do you know in OKC? I haven't been able to find a guild meeting or anything in the city- the nearest groups seem to be several hours away.

Margaret-
Josh and I are in the process of moving to OKC (actually he's in the living room singing silly songs to Jonah) but we will be around this summer. Let me know when you will be anywhere near us.

By the way, I just heard a rumor you were on the NSN BOD? How exciting for them!!

I looked for you at last years' festival in Jonesborough - if you were there, I'm sorry I missed you.
The postcard idea is where I'm headed right now. It makes more sense to me than a full brochure. Besides, I can send it out via email, too. This site may help me a lot - I love storytelling and writing, but I'm not a techno. . .

Margaret - my, my, we are all busy at our computers, aren't we? It's great to hear from you. By the way, I took my degree from ETSU in December, went through withdrawal and am still in Johnson City for the time being.

Hi Margaret,

It is good to hear from you. I'm in the midst of finals week. All is well, though. I'm working on my last course for UT before starting the dissertation. Yeah! Of course I still have to complete comprehensive exams before I start, but I expect that to occur. I'm glad to be considered a friend of yours.

Peace,

Delanna

Margaret, we tell tales on similar themes. It's important for stories to offer examples of problem solving, conflict resolution, empowerment of the underdog. We're Californians, still ekeing out a living here.

Hey Margaret! How are you? Your picture is great! You look wonderful! I just signed up on Pro today as the discussion on storytell list serve was talking about it. So I did not know what to say about myself on the spur of the moment! I will have to add comments later. Anyway, this summer in CO sounds great! Let's plan on it!
Interesting to see who has left you comments. Rachel and I took an intensive together at ETSU.
