Storytelling has always been a passion of mine but I want to take it to the next level. My favorite stories to tell are ones about growing up in a dysfunctional family with a deaf brother. Some are inspirational and have deep messages while others are just fun.

And you're also from Christiansburg--Kim Weitkamp's stomping ground, a very nice person you may wish to know if you don't already. I will be heading out your way for Sounds of the Mountains in two weeks. Do try to come if you can. Big names like Donald Davis and Kim Weitkamp will be there. It should be outstanding. Please feel free to say "Hi" if you see me, I'll be one of the regional tellers from VASA (Virginia Storytelling Alliance-- a cool group you may wish to look into, Kim's president) and will be telling on Sat.
