Federation for European Storytelling - FEST at The University College
August 14, 2008 all day
August 14-16 there will be a conference in Oslo. We will discuss and set upp the standard for a European organization for storytellers. Representatives for 13 countries or regions are attending, and more are to come. Take contact for questions.

In Stockholm the local storytelling network organized a full night with stories about neighbours, with ten storytellers and forty in the audience.

- About Me:
- Professional storyteller since the late eighties, performing in many countries, from Iran to Canada and from Greece to Norway .
I also have background as an artist, making murals, illustrations
etc, and as a writer with a number of books through the years.
My company Fabula is running large projects like Fabula Storytelling Festival. We are situated in Stockholm, but perform and do educations all over Scandinavia.
Im quite engaged in building structures for storytelling, like the Swedish organization Berattarnatet Sverige. Another project concerns shaping The House of Storytelling. This will take a few years I expect.
At the present Im spending quite some time on networking and preparing for Fedderation for European Storytelling (FEST) which will be established in August 2008.

It intersects with the interviews and research i've done and stories i've told of Mennonites who suffered and survived the Stalin purges of the 30s.
