Professional Storyteller is a network for people who work in the field of oral storytelling. Please write a brief paragraph about your work.
I am a poet, author, and children's writer. I have also been studying the art of storytelling for many years. I have never been on a stage telling stories, but I practice. This is another great resource for my studies and furthering my ambitions. I am presently working on a children's chapter book, a novel, and many poems.

Poet, author, children's writer

I have a profile at www.writersdigestcommunity.com and also at www.poetrynation.com where some of my work is posted.

Welcome!

Don't worry about your lack of telling yet, just start doing it.  A mentor of mine, Papa Joe Gaudet, wisely said: If you want to be a storyteller, tell stories; if you want to be a better storyteller, tell more stories.  As an author you want to be able to interest your audience & informally talking with them is the start of your storytelling beyond the page.

There are opportunities aplenty here to network, both in print & beyond the page.  Prowl around here & know that there are also many groups in TN as that's the home base of the National Storytelling Network.
