Hi Neeta!

Great to find you here. I'm not sure you remember me. I was in Kathalaya's Academy course in Jan-Feb and you told us the story 'All about Nothing' :-)

Stay in touch...

Hi Neeta, Martin's advice below is what I'd say too - the SfS site can put you in touch with the local montly storytelling meetings, and if you contact those now and ask them for other contacts too, you should spread the word to most groups and active tellers by the time you arrive. Tell them your own story - what you are coming for, what you specialise in etc., and perhaps you can get someone local to hold a little storytelling gathering just for you - to welcome and meet. I love Indian tales and myths, and I'd love to meet you but Bristol is 120 miles away so it's not all that easy - let me know details and dates. If you are travelling around you'll be welcome in Bristol and could meet more tellers here.

Hi, Neeta, You asked about storytelling in London in May, The Society for Storytelling's London rep. is Pippa Reid, e-mail address
Introduce yourself to her (you can mention me) and she should be able to help. You can also look in the events section of our website at select London and then search but not everyone puts their events there. I hope you find what you want. Best wishes. Martin.

I believe in the power of story to transform lives - for the better! In fact, I am doing my graduate studies on this topic. This group is for those who share similar views and provides a venue for expressing them! So, you are welcome to "Applied Storytelling: the Power of Story." To join the group simply click on "Groups" at the top of your home page, then click on the "Applied Storytelling" icon (a nice cup of cappuccino!), then click on "Join this Group." I look forward to having you with us! Best wishes to you. STEVE

Hi there! I am spreading the word about the new World Storytelling Day group:

If you know of any storytelling events happening near you in March, let me know, and make sure to add them to the World Storytelling Day event list.
