Hi Penny,

Welcome to PS.  I'm glad you joined us.  I'm also glad to see that there's another storyteller in KY!  How cool is that?  Do you know about the KY Storytelling Assoc.?  We'd sure love to have you as a part of it, if you're not already.  Look it up on www.kystory.org  Maybe we can meet sometime along the way.  I'm often in your area.

Take care,

Pam

Hi Penny,

Welcome from another 'newbee'.

I'm studying orality and how storytelling fits into conveying truth without manipulation or coercion.

Fascinating to learn about the difference between concrete and abstract mindsets, and how the brain rewires itself depending on what skills are used.

I live in Taiwan where I grew up, so I'm trying to discover special characteristics of how Taiwan's people tell stories. Lots to learn in this field!

Blessings and joy in the journey!

Anne

Thank you Stephen, for the offer of help--that was very nice! How long have you been a storyteller? Danish folk and wonder tales, I know little about! I am new to story tellling and trying to learn all I can... Have you had a chance to check out the radio station- here is the address: www.Live365.com/stations/storytellingradio.  I joined the group also...  There are many groups to join,  check them out, if you haven't already!!   thanks again, Penny

Welcome, Penny!

You're in an area of the U.S. with lots of great storytelling.  Be sure to look for members near you (check the search box in the upper right).  Beyond that, we have lots to read and see and even hear here.  The World of Storytelling Radio is yet one other way to find storytelling on internet radio 24/7.  Have fun discovering all that storytelling can be.
