I am a full-time ghostlorist and author. I have collected hundreds of first-person accounts of encounters with ghosts through the South. I also present a week-long annual Ghost Seminar for the NC Center for the Advancement of Teaching in Cullowhee North Carolina.
I love hearing ghost experiences.
I was delighted to read your website. I have two ghost dogs that visit me when things are tough. They climb right under the bed covers. Also several people and a couple of horses. They do not climb under the bed covers.
I look forward to seeing you perform.
Kind regards,
Reisa

Hi, David. Thanks for your comments and for not letting that huge picture (lordy!) at the top of the page scare you off. :-)
Greetings.
If I weren't so far away I would dearly love to attend your seminar. I think it's great that you collect first person ghost-encounter narratives. What an excellent occupation.

Hello Randy
I wanted to welcome you to Professional Storyteller and tell you just how much I love your story "Watch Dog." I hope you learn to love this site as much as I have. This is a great group of people.
I would like to introduce you to Thomas Freese, author storyteller and fellow ghost lover. Thomas has written several books, Fog Swirller is the most recent. Another is one about the Ghost at Shakertown, KY. Though the title escapes me this morning at 5 am. I am glad you are here and I invite you to join some of our groups, forums and other story related pages.
Dianne de Las Casas is the creator of this site and has made it a gift to the storytelling community. If you like it, drop her a line and say so. I am looking forward to getting to know you better.
welcome again
Buck

You will never know how much your very kind comments have meant to me! I am such a fan of your and Janet's writings. I am so glad to have the chance to touch base with you. I had exhausted every source I had in getting in touch with you. I had so wanted to get your permission to tell this story. I finally gave up and contacted your publisher. Thankfully they granted me permission.
"Watch Dog" has become one of my most requested stories. I am from Harlan Co., KY and so it is especially meaningful to me.
I was recently chosen as one of 5 storytellers to represent KY at the National Storytelling Network Conference Showcase in Gatlinburg. I told "Watch Dog" there and it was very well received. People love this story!
I have some questions that keep popping up. Was there really a Corbin Forest? I have tried to locate his family in the area and I've hit a wall. Also where was the Star Company? I found out that there was a Whitestar and a Blackstar. Both of these were near Wallins Creek, KY that's why I took liberties and used that town.
Thank you so much for allowing me the wonderful opportunity to tell this story. I promise to always give you credit.
I am anxious to read your new book and the stories it holds.
