- same here. I hung out with Todd Elliot and Sarah/Rachel Bird. I was nervous for the workshop, but am happy that everyone enjoyed it. Did you attend the Master classes? Are you going to the National Storytelling Festival? Did you ell at the Conference?
Rachel is great and so is Buck. I'm glad you were able to meet so many new people. That means that the Storytelling community is getting bigger :]
Although I'm dreading school, i wish you good luck for the coming year ^^

2009 National Youth Storytelling Showcase
The list of participants for the 2009 National Youth Storytelling Showcase was posted yesterday...and I'm on it! I'll be competing in Pigeon Forge again this year. Can't wait to get there and catch up with old friends...and make some new ones. Hope to see a bunch of you there!

I'm Back!
Wow! I feel like I haven't been on here in FOREVER. Betweeen school and sports, I've been swamped. Let me get you up to date. First off...I'VE GOT MY FIRST CD!!! "Take One" is my very first CD. It consists of my first 3 original stories. It was recorded live in Columbia, SC. I'm very proud of it.
In October, I was fortunate enough to take part in the Story Night at the National Storytelling Festival. It was one of the highlights of my year.

I'm Telling in Jonesborough!
All the stars aligned today, and I found out that I'm going to be able to tell at the Thursday night concert at the National Storytelling Festival in Jonesborough, TN. I've been part of the "Youthful Voices" segment at Jonesborough, but this will be the first concert with professional tellers at the NSF that I will be a part of. I can't even describe how excited I am! Hope to see many of you there.

National Storytelling Conference
I just got back from the 2008 National Storytelling Conference in Gatlinburg, TN. Wow! What an awesome event! I was only able to stay for Saturday, but it was still an incredible experience. I got to tell the in South Carolina Showcase and then got to hear numerous tellers from North Carolina, Georgia, and Florida, who were all amazing. Also had the oppurtunity to meet some people for the first time (Buck, Dustin, etc.) and see some old friends (Rachel!!!). Hope everyone enjoyed the w… Continue
