I am a professional storyteller from San Luis Obispo California. I teach storytelling at California Polytechnic State University, a class called Storytelling: The Oral Tradition. This class is for undergraduate education majors and focuses on the applications of storytelling in the classroom.
In addition I serve as an artist in residence at local schools, perform thematic assembly programs and provide teacher in services.
I also am available for public performances and offer a variety of thematic programs as well as customized programs for special events.
My apologies for a tardy greeting, but I somehow missed you last week. (Teaching high school this semester...that's gonna be my excuse)
I'm sure you're convinced, by now, that this is a most remarkable site for tellers. And I trust you've found time to check out the various ins and outs of PS.ning - I join with the others in encouraging you to immerse yourself in all that this place has to offer.
It sounds as if you have pretty much everything today's storyteller could possibly want - students who adore you and hang on to your every word/thought/nuance/maxim, etc.; multiple opportunities to share w/ a wide range of audiences...some money thrown in there from time to time -- who could ask for more??
Anyway, I'm glad you've found your way to this family of tellers, look forward to your contributions to the site, wish you continued fulfillment and success along "the story trail" and, again, send my warm greetings and Welcome!

How wonderful to hear from you since my early ETSU days! I look forward to seeing you at the Youth, Educators, and Storytellers Alliance Pre-Conference as well as the rest of the National Storytelling Conference.
I am anxious to hear more about your capstone project.
Until we tell again,
