Thanks, Sylvia. There's a little bit of every immigrant I've been close to in there. And maybe a touch of Mel Brooks. Baba has a big crush on the 2000 Year Old Man :-D

Hi Sylvia, thank you for your lovely comments. Yes, we do have a New Zealand Guild of Storytellers; their website is www.storytelling.org.nz
However, it doesn't appear to be updated very regularly; I do belong, but don't appear on it yet.
At the Marlborough Farmers' Market, I am telling some traditional tales such as Stone Soup, Little Red Riding Hood and so on, with a Farmers' Market 'flavour'. For instance, I have some child helpers take on the roles of townspeople and think up things that we can add to our Stone Soup that are available at the Farmers' Market. I also use rhythm, rhyme and song for variety and to keep their interest up with shorter 'snappier' tales. I haven't 'told' to adult groups yet, only children.
Thank you for your interest.
Kind regards,
Katrina

Hello Sylvia,

I love the story on your blog about your grandpa. It reminds me of my grandma, also a fine horsewoman.

Kind regards,
Reisa

How far are you from Chapel Hill? I will be down Oct 8,9,10,11 and was hoping to meet other tellers for coffee and a little swapping at some point. Know anyone in that area? It is beautiful there, I was in town in July to move my daughter and her husband there. find me at www.carolynstearnsstoryteller.com

Hey Sylvia,
It's really good to hear from you again. It has indeed been that long since we hung out together in Greensboro. I'm pleased to hear NC has a Guild. Are you planning to be at the NSN conference this summer?
All the best,
Steven
