Lisa, You are very insightful, and I love this quote...
One final thought, those that don't smile or say anything, they need our smiles and kindness more than anyone else. I think of them as seeds that are dying of thirst and that might burst forth…
I've never been in that setting, but I would hope that the play leader can provide you some direction. I would ask if they are looking for anything specific, are you to be a diversion or a 'tool' for the children? Good luck!
I'm a wife, a mom and a professional instructor employed by the gov't. I'm interested in making life and learning more fun for those around me. As a lecturer, I find that a short story can pass the same information in less time and be more easliy recalled at a later date.
I also make up amazing, fantastic stories for my children and anyone else who will listen. My husband thinks I'm slightly off my rocker, but I love what I do. I'm looking for new (new to me) ways of sharing my stories. I don't know much about professional storytelling, but my family and students are both supportive and encouraging. I'm here to learn what I can so that I can start a new adventure :)
Greetings! I hope you like Professional Storyteller. I sure do! Won't you consider participating in the "Applied Storytelling: the Power of Story" group? We would love to have you! Best wishes. STEVE
