Wendy, I still haven't been able to sign up to the Utah Guild. We just finished our second annual storytelling festival in Kanab, Oct 24-25. Tom Carter

Great see you there. USG will have a table there where you can get info and sign up. There will also be info on the National Storytelling Network, if you are interested in joining a national organization.

I look forward to meeting you,
Wendy

Thanks for getting back so promptly. I'll e mail Sherry Davis. We have an informal guild of about 12 people, depending on how well I bug them and most of them assist around festival time. It's still a problem getting them to see themselves as storytellers, mostly I think they believe they're just helping me organize. But, yeah why not go for a chapter, perhaps that would help them see themselves as part of a tradition. Tom

Hi Wendy

Congrats on being the USG President. I gave your phone number to the lady now doing the booking at Solitude. Her name is Galas Slingo, she's planning a storytelling day. Email if you need the number for her at idlewild@idlewildrecordings.com

Hi Wendy. Ann Scroggie posted a discussion about the current application process for the Brimstone Award for Applied Storytelling in our Applied Storytelling group. Let me urge you to consider it! Ann is the chair of the NSN Brimstone committee and is really good at answering questions and concerns. She was a great help to me last year when I went through the process! And if I can give you any encourgement or help, let me know! Best wishes to you. STEVE

Nice to meet you, Wendy! I admire your drive and accomplishment. I'm still relatively "new" to the world of storytelling and performing (have been figuring it out for just about ten years now. I find it great that so many in this network have taken storytelling/performing to such large and expansive venues.

I like your bio, dear cousin. I reckon I need to work on mine a bit... makes me ashamed I haven't spent more time doing mine.
