About Me:
BLARNEY & BEYOND!

Want tales Irish or otherwise?
Check out the mad skills of writer and educator, Yvonne Healy. She's been telling stories professionally since 1993 for a grand total of 40 years as a professional performer.

Yvonne Healy was born across the water and raised on an American Main Street with Irish stories, language and culture. She spread her wings to Swarthmore College, then the Big Apple seeking fame and fortune. In 1997 she was re-born as Midwest Nice on a shimmering Michigan lakeshore. She's finally identified her culture as "Mall and Malarkey". Along the way were soap operas, Off Broadway, comedy clubs, teaching residencies, published stories and essays, and - oh yeah- awards (not to mention a long-term marriage to a wonderful man and two amazing, strong daughters.)

See for youself! 3 full stories online at www.YHealy.com and discover first-hand the fun and thought-provoking fare offered by the wickedly talented Ms. Healy.

Buíochas!! Are you in Ann Arbor? I did a few gigs in MI years ago but the only one I recall was in Ann Arbor...long story.. you know how the Irish can turn a sedate party on it's head with music and 'performance art'...

Yvonne, go ra' míle maith agat. Tá súil agam go mbeidhfimid ag 'caint' arís! To put a fada over a letter on a Mac just hold down alt + type letter. Yes, the irish folklore commission was a stroke of genius by the infant state...tons and tons of stories there that have never seen the light of day sine...I'm translating some which were collected in Irish from Stiofán O'hEillire in Clare @ 1928

Hello beautiful,
I hope you are under a palm tree sipping something wonderful with a little umbrella in it. Take care of yourself, and thanks for all that you do .

Hi Yvonne

Thank you for your generous offer. I will let you have my address as you suggested. I had hoped to have a chat in Gatlinburg but you never landed for long enough!

All the best. Mike
